Hawai‘i is a land of inspiration, so it should come as no surprise that it is also a land of artists. In the documentary Journeys, Stuart Yamane introduces us to several of these creative souls and the works of art they produce.

Welcome to Oahu’s Makaha Beach, and the championships of two sports you probably don’t see every day: stand-up paddle surfing and canoe surfing. The addition of a paddle to the trusty surfboard gives athletes greater range and more control, while surfing in a canoe is, well, just a lot of fun.
