Hawai‘i has long been a destination of dreams, so what better place for the dream-like productions of Cirque du Soleil? Recently the acclaimed troupe brought its spectacular Alegria to Honolulu.
Among the show’s talented performers was Micah Naruo, who grew up in Hawai‘i. We spoke to Micah and Alegria’s artistic director Michael Smith about bringing dreams to life on stage and what it took to mount the production in the Islands.
