There is much more to dance in Hawai‘i than hula. The Islands have a vibrant, thriving dance performance scene encompassing everything from ballet, to hip-hop, to salsa, to ballroom, to jazz.
When it comes to dance choreography, the name Marie Takazawa certainly stands out from the crowd. One of Hawaii’s most gifted artists, Takazawa draws inspiration from many sources, including, notably, music whose themes resonate with the Islands.
