Honolulu FestivalAs you walk the streets of Honolulu, you can easily spot cultural influences from around the Pacific. It’s in the signs on display, the languages in the air, the dishes on offer in restaurants. These cultural influences go deeper yet, helping create the unique customs and way of life of the Islands.

Once a year, Honolulu throws a huge party to celebrate the countries and cultures of the Pacific Rim and promote continued cooperation and harmony. It’s called the Honolulu Festival, and it includes three days of dance performances, art demonstrations, activities and educational programs designed to share Asia, Pacific and Hawaiian cultures with the world. The Festival ends with a spectacular parade down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki.

The next Honolulu Festival will be held March 11-13, 2011.
